The Pac-man board game was and still be one of the best and the most amusing games that the golden generation has experienced.
We used to play that game all the time with friends and family and now we find that the new generation of learners still playing it despite the time.
My love for this kind of games inspired me to design my own Pac-man board game.I decided to use the game for educational purposes.
Grammar focus:The imperative.
Vocabulary focus:Prepositions of place.
How to apply the game:
1.Divide your learners into groups of mixed abilities to create a better learning atmosphere with a spirit of competition .(4 learners in one group would be enough)
2.Provide each group with :
*Pac-man pieces .
*A board game.
*Fruits and vegetables pieces.
3.The teacher explains the task for learners:
Pupils from each group have to choose two cards at random(the cards represent the names of the amenities on the board game)
They have to compete by showing the right direction to Pac-man to reach his destination.
The more they take a longer path the more they gather fruits and vegetables.(Each time they get a fruit or a vegetable they have to take the card and name the item)
If they find a ghost in the way , they have to change it.
You can even insert clothes and shoes on the board game.
