They were theories and a person learn better when he is engaged and put those ideas into practice.
I will provide you today with an example about third year introducing the new sequence and the initial situation.
I can’t deal with them separately because they are linked and that they both flow along the same stream.
I started the session by using different pictures ,discussion and realia to make learners understand the key words.
Through pictures , pupils had the power to guess the title of the new sequence.
Sequence one: Me ,my abilities,my interests and my personality.
So they have gathered some information about what they will deal with during this sequence.
At that stage , I was able to introduce my initial situation.
Your monthly school magazine is organizing a writing contest entitled “The best teenager character”.
Write an article about yourself and win the prize.
The winner’s article will be written on the first page so that all the school learners will get to know about him and he will be awarded a diary book to encourage him to carry on writing.
I didn’t write the the initial situation on the board , I draw a plan for my learners to be copied down.
Also, We have decided to organize a school magazine to encourage them to work and that’s what I meant by encouragement and reward.
The initial situation was a session of enlightenment ,advice, and encouragement towards work,reading, writing , playing useful games like scrabble and chess…etc.
